I bought this because I wanted to find an insulated sippy cup to hold my daughter's cold milk.

PROS

- Easy to wash

- Easy for my daughter to handle and drink from

CONS

- It's not really airtight and drinks don't stay warm/cold very well. I followed the instructions carefully -- put boiling hot water or ice water to heat/chill the container and my drinks still didn't stay cold for more than a couple of hours. I even kept the thermos in the refrigerator in hopes it would work. While I knew there was no lid to keep things completely airtight, I was hopeful the insulation would work. It would have been nice to have a cap to keep drinks better insulated.

- Even with the valve, it spills so you have to keep it upright

- My daughter likes to push the spout into the bottle when I do not use the valve. I wish it stayed on a little better.

My twin girls use these cups just fine, I'm happy with the stainless steel feature (minimize plastic exposure), and that are "leak proof" to my satisfaction. Okay, if a year-and-a-half old baby turns it upside down, sakes it, and then tries to take a sip, there will be some milk forced out, but only dribbles and I'm still very happy with the product. I can only speak for my experience, but I've not seen moldy spouts. I clean AND DRY regularly with hot water and have not had a problem
